Recognizing International Overdose Awareness Day 2023

Today we acknowledge International Overdose Awareness Day, which this year honours the people whose lives have been altered by overdose #weseeyou

As the medical field's experts in pain management, we know that anesthesiologists have a role to play in minimizing prescription medicine misuse. That's why we created this website, SolvingPain.ca. We believe that by empowering prescribers with the knowledge they need to optimize pain management, we can reduce opioid misuse and through that, reduce overdoses.

In you work in health care, we encourage you to share SolvingPain’s Perioperative Pain Management Pathway, our opioid harm prevention and perioperative pain management tool, with any colleagues who are involved with managing patients’ surgical pain.
